Event to commemorate National Leader of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev in Berlin

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany organised an event on 12 December at the Azerbaijan Cultural Centre in Berlin to mark the 19th anniversary of the death of National Leader Haydar Aliyev. The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Germany, Nasimi Agayev, delivered a speech on the life and political activity of the Head of State Haydar Aliyev and his role in the formation of modern statehood of Azerbaijan.

Young Azerbaijani musicians working in Germany - Narmin Najafli (piano) and Farida Rustamova (violin) - performed a concert programme during the event. Works by the Azerbaijani composers Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirov, Said Rustamov and Tofig Guliyev as well as foreign composers were performed.
