Azerbaijan's Energy Minister visits Germany
On 28-29 March Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov visited Germany at the invitation of German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock and German Economics and Climate Minister and Vice Chancellor Robert Habek to participate in the 9th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference. Within the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference, a roundtable under the topic of Azerbaijan – oil, gas and beyond: Perspectives for a future energy partnership was held with the participation of more than 20 German energy companies and business circles. At the roundtable, in which the German Wind Energy Association, Eastern Business Association, Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade, Siemens Energy, Uniper, Notus Energy, Energy Agency-DENA, Germany-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, EDEG ED-Energy, DEIG Energietechnik, ALPHA GmbH, Windcomp GmbH, SAP SE and other business circles attended, new cooperation opportunities were discussed within the Azerbaijan's policy of diversifying energy supply sources and energy transition plans. During the visit, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov held bilateral meetings with the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany Anja Hajduk, the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Energy Jacob Blitshtein, the Minister of Energy also met with Deputy Minister of Energy of Moldova Carolina Novac, Vice President of Uniper Michael Hilmer and the Senior Vice President of Siemens Energy Ariel Porat.
