Phone call between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his German counterpart Johann Wadeful
On March 9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann David Wadephul, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The parties discussed the current security situation in the region and the impact of rising tensions in the Middle East on regional and global security.
The German Minister expressed concern over Iran’s drone attacks against Azerbaijan, strongly condemned the attacks, and stated that Germany stands in full solidarity with the country.
The German Minister also thanked the Azerbaijani side for the support provided in the evacuation of German citizens from Iran.
During the phone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on the prospects for the development of Azerbaijan–Germany bilateral relations, as well as other regional issues of mutual interest.
