Azerbaijani Participants Shine in the German Bundestag
BERLIN – Azerbaijani participants in the prestigious International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program of the German Bundestag were in the spotlight this week, receiving high praise for their cultural contributions at the program’s Graduation Evening on June 5, 2025.
Firdovsi Ibrahimli and Khanim Mikayilli proudly represented Azerbaijan in the IPS program, which brings together young professionals from around the world for an in-depth experience in German parliamentary democracy. Their participation highlighted the diversity and talent of Azerbaijani youth on the international stage.
The Azerbaijan booth at the event – vibrantly decorated with national symbols, cultural artifacts, and traditional cuisine – attracted great interest from Members of the Bundestag and other distinguished guests. The display was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Germany.
A standout moment of the evening was Khanim Mikayilli’s live performance of a traditional Azerbaijani song, impressively showcasing the country’s rich musical heritage.
