Nowruz was solemnly celebrated in Berlin
With the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, and organized by the “Khari Bulbul” Azerbaijani Cultural House, a Nowruz celebration was held in Berlin.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan by Azerbaijani children attending the native language courses at the “Khari Bulbul” Cultural House.
Sevda Badaliouri, head of the “Khari Bulbul” Cultural House, stated that the organization she leads is working responsibly to preserve the Azerbaijani language, culture, music, and our rich heritage in Berlin and to pass them on to the younger generation. She emphasized that it is a source of pride that the children of Azerbaijani families living in Berlin approach their native language and national values with great love.
S. Badaliouri expressed her gratitude to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany, the Ministry of Culture, and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center for their continued support of the activities of the “Khari Bulbul” Azerbaijani Cultural House.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, in his speech highlighted that the Spring Festival, which holds a special place in the ancient and rich cultural heritage of our people, promotes values such as peace, friendship, unity, and mutual respect in society. The diplomat noted that Nowruz is celebrated with great enthusiasm not only in Azerbaijan but also by our compatriots living abroad, where national and spiritual values and traditions are preserved and successfully promoted. The ambassador congratulated the participants on the occasion of Nowruz and wished unity, solidarity, and good health to our country, our people, and our compatriots.
Afterwards, the students of the “Khari Bulbul” Azerbaijani Cultural House recited poems and songs dedicated to the Spring Festival and performed national dances. One of the most memorable moments of the festival was the staging of interesting episodes from famous Azerbaijani films by the children.
Shabnam Huseyn, a member of the Norwegian Musicians’ Union and a soloist of the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, added a special atmosphere to the celebration with her performance.
At the end of the event, gratitude was expressed to Sevda Badaliouri, head of the “Khari Bulbul” Azerbaijani Cultural House, as well as to others who contributed to the organization of the event — Khayala Chiftchi, Parvana Aslanova, Said and Aziza Ibrahimli, piano teacher Nigar Sadikhova, tar performer Farhad Mamizada, as well as Lala Mammadova, Sama Karimli and Rovshan Hasanov.
Tables decorated with traditional Nowruz sweets and samani — the symbol of the arrival of spring — were set up at the event, creating a true festive atmosphere for the participants.
